There is so many places to eat with a view around Bribie Island and Sandstone Point that I didn’t get to visit all of them, but here are some good ones to get you started!
Near Sandstone Point
Spinnaker Sound Cafe
This tranquil cafe is tucked away on the Marina between apartments and the water. The staff are super friendly and I loved it so much I went back about 5 times! The best views are from the little tables down on the waters edge.
My corn fritters were amazing (and available as vegan) and came with a little salad and avacado. I met up with my parents here and my mum said her pancakes were tasty and dad loved his traditional white bread with bacon and egg.
Sandstone Point Hotel
Owned by the resort, Sandstone Point Hotel has a magnificent view out over the water to Bribie Island.
The food was really good, we had a range of mains and sides in our group and they were all cooked perfectly. There was a few vegan options but nothing that really sounded hearty so I cheated and had vegetarian sides including an incredible truffle and parmesan mash potato.
The Oyster Shed
I didn’t get to visit but it’s open for lunch during the week and dinner Friday and Saturday nights. It’s at the bottom of the hill from the Hotel, right on the waters edge.
On Bribie Island/Yarun or Yirin
Sunset Pier Cafe
A small low key deck right on the waters edge the Sunset Pier Cafe has beautiful views across the sparkly passage water towards the Glass House Mountains. Reasonably priced simple food which plenty of choice and neatly presented, I returned here for coffee several times too!
Bribie Beach Shack
I didn’t get to stop here for coffee as it was too late and cold in the day (it was winter and I’m a wuss) when I checked it out but has a relaxed jumble of casual tables amongst garden plants, perfect for coffee with a water view.
