Alamanda is the best of both worlds, right next to the restaurants and bars but without a road between it and the beach like the other resorts in town. An absolute winner for the location and while the resort is all ages it has an adults only beach front pool!

Not to be confused with the dedicated child-friendly turtle beach resort, Turtle Cove Beach Resort is a one-of-a-kind space in a lush tropical location.

Turtle Cove Beach Resort describes itself as "catering to the Adults Only Resort LGBTQIA & ALLIES community and providing a safe, friendly, enjoyable and socially inclusive Adults Only location in paradise!".

This private and welcoming resort has many repeat visitors, great Tripadvisor and Boooking.com reviews and offers up a few more cheeky experiences than other resorts such as its private clothing optional beach. If you're looking for a party holiday it's also worth checking out their events page as they often have dedicated party weekends such as full moon parties and other festival events with DJs, artists and shows.

It's also in a convenient location where you can access reef and Daintree rainforest tours or go on day trips in your own rental car.

Thala Beach is a beautiful eco-certified resort on a private nature resort. Families are welcome at Thala Beach, however, their accommodation is primarily maximum 2 in a room and many of the rooms are private villas meaning it is a predominantly popular choice with adults, honeymooners and couples looking for a special nature based holiday.

Just a 40 minute drive from the Cairns airport, the resort capital of Australia Port Douglas has some great adults only accommodation options to choose from.

Shantara resort in Port Douglas is entirely adults only and has fantastic reviews from thousands of travellers.

It's in a convenient spot, within walking distance from the beach, town, bars and restaurants as well as the option to book apartments with all the facilities you need to cook your own meals.

The adults only Peninsula Boutique hotel is in a great location across a small road from the beach and right in town so its the best of both worlds! Enjoy being close to local restaurants and shops and then return to the peace and quiet of your adults only hotel a very short walk away.

Its tiered pools mean you can find your own quiet corner to relax, read a book and enjoy a child free environment.

A relatively affordable alternative to some of the high end adults only resorts, Le Cher Du Monde is in a fabulous location with everything you need right on the doorstep.

Silky Oaks Lodge is a premium luxury lodge that reopened after a full renovation at the very end of 2021. It's in a really special location, surrounded by rainforest which means the pool and the restaurant feel like you in a tropical oasis.

With only older children over 10 welcome this is the closest option to an adults only luxury lodge in the Daintree rainforest.

Accessible by charter flight only this stunning secluded Island is a member of Luxury Lodges of Australia, a collection of Australias most high end accommodations.

Accessible by helicopter from Cairns or boat transfer and helicopter from Mission Beach Bedarra Island boasts just 10 villas for a secluded holiday.
