Eden
Long a fishing enthusiasts’ paradise, Eden on the South Coast of NSW has a new Mountain Bike Park that opened in late 2023, some nice beaches and river beaches as well as places to visit nearby for a meal or drink with a view.
Its also conveniently located for day trips to busier Pambula and Merimbula or for a slightly longer roadtrip to Tathra.

Things to do Around Eden
Nullica State Forest
Home to the new Grafity Eden MTB Park and also a swimming hole and picnic area (that’s apparently a huge secret coz the foresty page has zero info on getting there – I have emailed them to ask so hopefully its updated after writing this, and it’s not on google maps).
Gravity Eden Mountain Bike Park
Gravity Eden Mountain Bike Park is one of a couple of new mountain bike parks on the South Coast of New South Wales (theres also a new one in Bodalla near Narooma). I’m not a MTB rider, I’ve just included some photos for your reference.
It has 3 different zones, the Adventure Zone which is green trails for learning which accessed from the main trailhead carpark where the skills park is at the base of the park, a Flow Zone which it describes as a midpoint of riding skills and connection tracks and a Gravity Zone for long decent with some more difficult options or the ability to connect together long rides.

Beaches & Swimming Around Eden
Patrolled Swimming Beaches
There are patrolled swimming beaches in the area and in nearby towns on busier days of the year. Check them out on the Beachsafe website.
Aslings Beach Rock Pool
Another one on the list for next time, Eden is home to Aslings Beach Rock Pool one of NSW sea baths.
Broadwater Picnic Area & Swimming Hole
There is also apparently a river swimming hole in the Nullica State Forest that I unfortunately only found out about after the fact – its on the list for next trip.
Drinks with a view
The Seahorse Inn Hotel & Villas is a short 10 minute drive from Eden and is a great place for a drink with a view on a sunny afternoon or balmy daylight savings evening.
